Teflon free sealingThe giant bagmaker inserter RAZIM-11-G, which makes and inserts bags into C48 or C90 cases, now makes use of PTFE-free seal heads. When the PE bag is made on the RAZIM-11-G, two sealheads are used to seal the bottom of the bag. As PE film is heat-sealed, it's necessary to coat the sealheads with an anti-sticking layer. So far, PTFE has always been the most commonly used coating material. It's the only material today that combines a perfect heat resistance with anti-sticking properties. Without a suitable alternative on the market, Teflon has been used to coat the sealbars of the RAZIM-11-G. The PTFE material was used in the form of an adhesive tape, which was applied directly on the sealheads. During the last two years Pattyn Packing Lines has been looking for a suitable alternative to replace the Teflon tape. Today Pattyn Packing lines has the pleasure to introduce you its innovative PTFE-free sealing solution, which can be retrofitted on all existing machines. The innovative coating material is a silicon-based material which is clamped directly on to the seal heads. In-house testing and real production tests have proven the durability and excellent sealing properties. Retrofit modules to replace your present sealing heads are now available.
